The perfect way to start your ultrasound journey. This training platform starts with 2 recorded lectures to give you the basics of patient prep, transducer orientation, image acquisition, ultrasound artifacts and more. Then we follow that up with three live CoreVu Scan Assist sessions. These sonographer assisted scanning sessions will put into action what we just learned. Each session will focus on a new skill, including system workflow and full abdominal scanning. This course is 5 RACE CE approved. Cost: $450. Skill Builder is only available for the Wisonic ultrasound systems.

Dr. Sonya Gordon
BSc, DVM, DVSc, Diplomate ACVIM Cardiology
Dr. Sonya Gordon is ACVIM Diplomate in Cardiology, Professor of cardiology and Eugene Ch’en Chair in Cardiology at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science.
She has published manuscripts, book chapters and a textbook. Her interests and expertise in teaching have led to many invitations to organize and participate in continuing education events for veterinarians and veterinary cardiologists globally. These opportunities, coupled with her involvement in multicenter international studies, have provided her with a global perspective of veterinary cardiology.
Dr. Gordon considers College Station, Texas home and shares her life with her husband, 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Christopher Paige
MS, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Christopher Paige has always been passionate about animals. Today, he is proud to put that passion to work as a veterinary cardiologist who has been in the field for over 13 years. Dr. Paige is board-certified in Cardiology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). For more than nine years, he has worked in private specialty practices in Mesa, Phoenix, and Flagstaff, Arizona, where he offers full, interventional cardiology services.
In 2012, Dr. Paige was recruited into cardiovascular research at a global human medical device company and temporarily left private practice for preclinical medical device research. In 2014, he started a mobile practice to provide veterinary cardiology services to Flagstaff, AZ, and surrounding areas of Northern Arizona. For the past 4 years, he also remains an adjunct clinical faculty member at Midwestern College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). In August 2016, Dr. Paige opened Valley Veterinary Cardiology to offer the Valley's first cardiology-specific practice dedicated to patient, client, and primary care veterinarian support. Aside from mobile practice, he has stationary practices at various specialty hospitals in Arizona (Phoenix and Glendale). In collaboration with a Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Paige opened Valley Veterinary Internal Medicine to expand the mobile veterinary specialty services. In 2018, he also opened AZVETIDEAS, which is a veterinary medical device consulting company.
In October 2019, AxisVetTM was created to provide general and specialty veterinarians with high quality telemedicine and Holter monitoring services. Over the last year, AxisVetTM has rapidly expanded its customer base not only nationally but internationally as well.
Dr. Robert O’Brien
DVM, MS, ACVR
Dr. O’Brien obtained his DVM from Ohio State University and completed his residency in radiology from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a major in the US Army and a veteran of the Gulf War. He was on faculty at the universities of Wisconsin, Kansas State, and Illinois throughout an active academic career. He has over 100 peer-reviewed published manuscripts. He is an international expert in contrast ultrasound and advanced CT imaging. He founded the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society. He was on the examination committee of the ACVR for 5 years.
He is currently the Director of Radiology for Epica International & Epica Medical Innovations and has continued to spread his influence as Head of Radiology for a newly founded company, Peregrine Radiology. He is most happy to have returned to Maine and enjoying the northern New England lifestyle running trails and climbing mountains.
